Nicholas Cumins is chief executive officer of Bentley Systems. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s overall strategy and growth. An experienced software executive, he has served in leadership roles with established and startup companies for more than 20 years. He most recently served as Bentley’s chief operating officer.
Prior to joining Bentley as chief product officer in 2020, Nicholas served as general manager of SAP Marketing Cloud, a comprehensive marketing automation platform. He also served as chief product officer of Scytl, a platform for online voting, and as senior vice president of product with OpenX, a pioneer in programmatic advertising. Before OpenX, Nicholas had already served in a variety of senior roles at SAP, including product management, corporate strategy, and business development. He earned master’s degrees in law and in business from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University. Nicholas is a dual French and U.S. citizen and is based in France.

She is an award-winning brand and marketing executive with global experience leading growth and transformation initiatives across a diverse set of industries and organizations at the heart of human impact. A creative storyteller known for putting people and purpose at the center of her work, Kristin’s career has spanned innovative technology companies from startups to GE, and international development organizations from NGOs to the World Bank.
Prior to joining Bentley, Kristin was global head of brand at GE HealthCare, where she led the company’s historic rebrand as part of their spin-off from GE and was named 2022 ANA Communicator of the Year for her ability to successfully refresh and re-humanize this iconic brand. Prior to GE, Kristin founded and led a marketing consultancy based in Southeast Asia, where some of her earliest work covered regional infrastructure initiatives, including the Indonesian tsunami reconstruction.
Kristin earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wake Forest University and a master’s of business administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland. She is on the Board of Directors at the International Advertising Association (IAA) and the University of Maryland’s Center for Social Value Creation. She began her career in the U.S. Peace Corps and brings that same sense of purpose and adventure to her career today.

Dr. Zoltan Nagy is an assistant professor and has directed the Intelligent Environments Laboratory since 2016. A roboticist turned building engineer, his research interests are in control systems for zero emission building operation, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence for the built environment for a sustainable energy transition. Zoltan is a fellow of IBPSA World and has received the Outstanding Researcher Award from IBPSA-USA in 2022, several Best Paper awards from the CISBAT conference and Building & Environment journal, and a Highest Cited Paper award from Applied Energy. He organized and chaired the workshop on Reinforcement Learning for energy management in buildings and cities (RLEM) since 2020. Prior to joining UT Austin, Zoltan was a senior scientist at ETH Zurich in the Dept of Architecture. He holds an MS and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich.

As the Smart City lead in Dublin City Council, he has a proven track record of bringing together partners from industry, start-ups, academia, and public agencies to attract investment and new ideas for piloting and scaling smart city opportunities. Jamie’s experimental work has led to the creation of new business units within the City Council, notably for telecoms and drones. He has successfully established partnerships with leading companies such as Google, Bentley Systems, Mastercard, and OpenAI. In 2021, he was recognised as Civic Innovator of the Year in Europe by Harvard’s Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TECH), guided Dublin to runner-up position in the Europe’s Innovation Capital (I-capital) Awards, and won the EU Capital of Smart Tourism designation for 2024. Additionally, Jamie’s work in establishing Dublin City Council’s telecoms unit was recently cited by the World Economic Forum as a global best practice case study.

She oversees the final design of new and replacement bridge projects, as well as rehabilitations, throughout New York State. She is a member of the AASHTO Committee on Bridges and Structures and serves on the Steel & Metals Committee, as well as the AASHTO Concrete Committee. She tries to explain what these are, how they affect product or asset creation and operations, and how businesses can best implement these tools to technology buyers, investors, and developers. She holds a BS in naval architecture and marine engineering from MIT and an honors MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College.

She has developed market models and forecasts, and discussed industry trends and statistics for CAD/CAM, CAE, PLM, GIS, infrastructure, AEC, and plant design software since 1999. She tries to explain what these are, how they affect product or asset creation and operations, and how businesses can best implement these tools to technology buyers, investors, and developers. She holds a BS in naval architecture and marine engineering from MIT and an honors MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College.
