QUÉBEC CITY – May 20, 2026 – Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY), the infrastructure engineering software company, today announced the opening of a new office in Québec City, establishing a strategic hub for technology development. This expansion signifies a long-term investment in the region, which is recognized for its growing base of engineering and technology expertise, and strong university partnerships.

This expansion comes as the world faces unprecedented demand for better, more resilient infrastructure to support economic growth, secure access to energy and other critical resources, and address the effects of extreme weather events. Bentley’s investment in Québec City is a direct response to this challenge, leveraging technological advancements—in particular, AI—to dramatically improve the productivity of infrastructure engineers.

To support this new center of excellence, Bentley plans a total investment of nearly 10 million Canadian dollars, including growing its local workforce by close to 60% to deepen its integration into Québec’s high-tech sector.

The Québec City hub is one of five key global locations for Bentley’s R&D operations. It will play a critical role in accelerating the company’s mission by focusing on applied AI innovation, and bringing together teams working across geospatial, geotechnical, and civil engineering disciplines to help advance the world’s infrastructure.

The office will be locally led by Francois Valois, senior vice president, Bentley Open Applications, Bentley Systems. The team is actively hiring for multiple roles, underscoring Bentley’s view that technologies like AI are expanding the need for skilled engineering talent, not reducing it.
