Globhe - Global Drone Data from Anywhere

In an increasingly digital world, the accuracy and speed of data collection are foundational to creating robust and efficient digital twins. It is in this landscape that the partnership between Globhe and Bentley Systems, through the Bentley Ecosystem Catalog, truly stands out. We spoke with Helena Samsioe, founder and CEO of Globhe, to understand how this collaboration is set to transform the way the infrastructure industry accesses and utilizes drone data.

The partnership supports faster data collection for digital twins, asset performance, and AI-driven analysis across industries such as energy and telecommunications infrastructure from 148 countries through one single platform

Simplifying drone data collection for asset performance

Globhe was founded with a clear mission: to collect on-demand drone data to provide the sharpest insights about assets and environments anywhere in the world. ”“Our expertise is helping companies scale, automate, and standardize their drone data collection for their digital twins and AI analysis,” explained Samsioe.

The company serves major software players who sell the insights extracted from this data to their end customers in sectors such wind and solar energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure. The challenge, however, was the lack of integration. Many Bentley users were already using  Globhe, but as two separate entities. “We saw an opportunity to offer a more complete and integrated solution,” commented Samsioe.

Globhe’s presence in the Bentley catalog was the answer to this disconnection. The offering allows Bentley users who need drone data for their projects to request this collection directly through Globhe in a simplified way.

The goal is for users to no longer see data collection and processing as two separate streams,” said Samsioe. “We want to enhance our users’ workflow by enabling them to request drone data from Globhe without ever leaving their Bentley software. The Ecosystem Catalog is the first and most logical step in making this seamless experience a reality.”

This integration represents a huge benefit, allowing users to request, process, and analyze data all in one place. Whether for inspecting wind turbine blades across 80 countries, mapping for new solar farms, or managing vegetation along power lines, the partnership aims to unify the workflow.

Why Globhe joined the Bentley Ecosystem Catalog

For Globhe, being in the Bentley Ecosystem Catalog is a strategic move. First, it is a way to test the interest and demand from Bentley users in a real-world scenario.

“Seeing clients come to us through the Bentley listing would be an indicator of success and would give us the data needed to move forward with an API integration.”

Furthermore, the partnership opens doors to reach new customers and explore joint sales opportunities, offering the market a stronger, more integrated solution. “We believe there is great potential for joint business. We provide the fundamental data for many of the digital twins that Bentley users are creating,” she added.

How drone data supports smarter, more sustainable infrastructure

Samsioe views Bentley as a key industry player with a global reach that aligns with Globhe’s presence in over 148 countries. For her, the collaboration goes beyond operational benefits.

“We both play a crucial role in ensuring our users get the insights they need,” she reflected. “But the indirect gain from this is that by helping our users make better decisions, we also help promote sustainability. By combining our efforts, we hope to scale both client impact and planetary impact.”

The partnership between Globhe and Bentley is a significant step toward a future where the creation and maintenance of infrastructure digital twins are more integrated, efficient, and intelligent.
