Note: Please download and install both files (the Microsoft Prerequisites must be installed FIRST for MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition to operate correctly), even if you previously downloaded the Microsoft technology, the XM Prerequisite package, as it contains updated drivers required for the latest version of MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition.
MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition may be run on Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista.
Important: Once activated MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition connects to the web to post its daily usage. The Academic version of MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition is pre-activated with a server name and activation key so that the student needs to do nothing but connect. If the MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition is not connected to the internet every 30 days it becomes "deactivated" with a 15 minute timeout.
To reset MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition, choose the 15 minute trial period, and start up MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition. Once in MicroStation PowerDraft V8 XM Edition choose Utilities//License Management//tools/send logs now. This will force the heartbeat back to the hosted server. This must be done while connected to the internet. If not an error message will result.
