Rodrigo Fernandes
Director, Sustainability
Rodrigo Fernandes is (Global) Director of Sustainability at Bentley Systems, leading the implementation of the company’s sustainability business strategy and initiatives. Rodrigo’s charter is to empower sustainable development through Bentley software and services, evangelize Bentley’s handprint, and advocate for a sustainability culture.
Rodrigo has served as an external expert for the Portuguese Ministry of the Sea and for the European Commission and where he was also a European Climate Pact Ambassador.
Rodrigo is an industry expert on environmental engineering and environmental digital twins, with experience around sustainability-related product strategy, and knowledgeable on climate-related topics and their links to infrastructure projects, software, and services. He also integrates the WGIC (World Geospatial Industry Council) Committee for Partnerships & Industry Engagement, he serves as a member of the Water & Climate Expert Group in Water Europe, and is a Board Member of the Sustainability Infrastructure Advisory Board (SIAB) from the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI)
In his previous role, at Bentley, he worked as a senior consultant and project manager on the Water Infrastructure Team, and then as business development / environmental industry expert for Acceleration Team and Digital Cities.
He joined Bentley in 2017 with the acquisition of Action Modulers’ Water Business Unit. Before that, he was a Researcher at Marine, Environment & Technology Center (MARETEC), University of Lisbon.
He has a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and has designed and managed over 20 European innovation projects on modeling water resources and environmental safety issues, authoring +30 peer-reviewed papers.

Amelia Burnett
Digital Financial Strategies Director
Amelia Burnett is the Digital Financial Strategies Director in the Infrastructure Policy Advancement team at Bentley Systems and winner of 2002 Auckland and Northland secondary schools debater of year. Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, she collaborates with stakeholders across finance and insurance sector worldwide to leverage digital transformation to improve infrastructure investment decision-making. With over a decade of experience in driving transformation in the built environment, alongside 15+ years in strategic engagement and communications, Amelia is a passionate advocate for advancing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive infrastructure.
Previously, Amelia worked in private consultancy and held leadership roles at the Global Infrastructure Hub, the G20’s infrastructure advisory body. As Associate Director – InfraTech, she led global initiatives with governments, multilateral development banks, and industry to increase investment in InfraTech-enabled infrastructure projects. She has produced G20 reports on InfraTech ecosystems, sustainable finance mobilisation, and infrastructure taxonomies.
Earlier in her career, Amelia held leadership positions in major UK-based infrastructure transformation programmes, including the National Digital Twin programme, the Construction Innovation Hub, and the Centre for Digital Built Britain, based at the University of Cambridge.
Committed to advancing systems thinking and digital adoption in the built environment, Amelia holds certifications in Inclusive Infrastructure and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland and holds a Master of Sustainable Business at the University of Otago.

Harshleen Kaur
Environmental Sustainability Manager
Harshleen Kaur is an Environmental Sustainability Manager at Bentley Systems, where she is helping build a more rigorous and integrated approach to managing the company’s environmental footprint. Her work spans greenhouse gas accounting and assurance, environmental disclosures, operational decarbonization, regulatory readiness, and environmental data strategy. She focuses on strengthening the data, controls, governance, and cross-functional accountability behind Bentley’s reporting, ensuring that environmental information is credible, consistent, and useful for decision-making.
Harshleen’s experience sits at the intersection of greenhouse gas accounting, ESG reporting, and circularity, with a consistent focus on translating environmental priorities into practical action. Her early career spanned environmental consulting and ESG analysis, including GIS-based site selection for an emissions-monitoring pilot, stakeholder engagement for an environmental technology deployment, and ESG research for the financial services sector.
She holds a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability from Western University, where her capstone examined vehicle-to-grid technology as a potential Scope 3 decarbonization pathway in Ontario.
Before joining Bentley, Harshleen worked in corporate sustainability within Canada’s retail sector, supporting enterprise-wide decarbonization planning, developing approaches to waste measurement and management, advancing circularity initiatives, and tracking emerging environmental requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Through this work, she brought together environmental analysis, regulatory insight, and cross-functional collaboration to embed sustainability considerations into business planning and operations.
At Bentley, Harshleen also contributes to initiatives that connect sustainability expertise with infrastructure technology, helping organizations and infrastructure professionals understand carbon information and use it to inform decisions earlier and more effectively.

Diogo Arezes
Sustainability Technology Manager
Diogo Arezes is Sustainability Technology Manager at Bentley Systems, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of sustainability, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. His work focuses on leveraging data, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions to help infrastructure organizations improve sustainability outcomes, resilience, and operational performance.
With more than 10 years of experience across academia, government, consulting, and software, Diogo has built a career bridging sustainability strategy and technology innovation. Prior to Bentley, he established the Sustainability & Innovation Office at the University of Minho, supported the City of Guimarães in its digital and climate transition strategy, and contributed to the growth of KPMG Portugal's Sustainability & Business Transformation practice.
Throughout his career, Diogo has worked on sustainability strategy, decarbonization, climate risk, circular economy, ESG reporting, and organizational transformation initiatives. He has supported public and private sector organizations in navigating complex sustainability challenges while identifying opportunities to create long-term business and societal value.
At Bentley, Diogo leads sustainability technology initiatives that combine knowledge management, data, and artificial intelligence to accelerate sustainability outcomes across infrastructure sectors. His work focuses on applying AI-enabled solutions and digital technologies to support more informed decision-making, improve sustainability performance, and help organizations translate sustainability ambitions into measurable outcomes.
Beyond his work at Bentley, Diogo leads a workstream within the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), bringing together leading energy companies to identify and benchmark best practices for climate risk assessment and resilience. This collaboration helps advance industry understanding of how organizations can better prepare for the impacts of climate change while strengthening long-term business resilience.
Diogo believes that the greatest opportunities for innovation lie at the convergence of sustainability and technology, where strategic thinking, data, artificial intelligence, and digital capabilities can help address some of society's most pressing environmental and infrastructure challenges while creating lasting value for business and society.

Edita Kemzuraite
Sustainability Program Manager
Edita Kemzuraite is a Sustainability Program Manager at Bentley Systems, supporting the company’s sustainability strategy through engagement programmes, projects and partnerships connected to Bentley’s solutions and services. A key part of her role is connecting people, expertise and organizations to turn sustainability priorities into practical initiatives and meaningful engagement.
As an Envision Sustainability Professional, Edita works closely with Bentley’s partners at the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange around sustainable and resilient infrastructure. She also leads the development of sustainability-focused educational initiatives. In this work, she connects external partners and subject-matter experts with Bentley’s technical and Education teams, coordinating content development, review and delivery.
Edita also leads and supports Bentley’s representation at high-complexity, multi-stakeholder sustainability events, including COP and London Climate Action Week, coordinating internal and external contributors, content, messaging and partnerships.
With more than 18 years at Bentley, including previous roles as Senior Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, Edita brings extensive experience in project and programme management, digital transformation, IT PMO, Agile delivery, organizational change and stakeholder engagement. Throughout her career, she has acted as a bridge between business and technical teams, internal functions, external partners and senior stakeholders.
Beyond her corporate role, Edita has built and led an international community of project, programme and PMO professionals, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, professional development and cross-border collaboration. She has also served as President and Board Member of PMI Lithuania.
Edita is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), holds the Business Sustainability Management certificate from the University of Cambridge and is the Envision Sustainability Professional. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Technomathematics.

Thomas Christoffersen
Senior Account Manager
Thomas Christoffersen is a Senior Account Manager at Bentley Systems. With more than 30 years of experience in enterprise software, international business development, and strategic customer engagement, he is responsible for client relations to major infrastructure organizations across the Nordic region. He helps accelerate their digital transformation journeys through connected data, digital twins, asset management, and AI-enabled infrastructure solutions. Thomas is known for building long-term trusted partnerships and translating complex technology challenges into measurable business outcomes.
