SPIDAsilk is used for conducting precise sag and tension analysis on electrical transmission, distribution conductors, and telecommunication bundles. It performs robust nonlinear calculations, enabling engineers to accurately model and evaluate various scenarios, including the impact of communication bundles and attached equipment like 5G antennas. The application can be used as standalone or with our SPIDAcalc structure analysis software.

Sag and tension analysis calculates how a suspended cable or conductor behaves between supports. It determines how much the line will sag and the tension forces at the attachment points under varying conditions such as span length, loading, and temperature. This analysis helps ensure proper clearances, structural safety, and reliable system performance.
