WHAT IS EMME?
EMME is a complete transportation forecasting system for planning the urban, regional and national movement of people. EMME is used to create digital transport models for travel demand forecasting, traffic planning, transit service planning, and related applications to provide an evidence-base for transport strategy and policy decision-making. By modeling the people, places, processes, and options involved in travel, transport planners can evaluate transport system performance on any number of virtual scenarios prior to implementation. AGENT Add-on enables use of the AGENT travel demand modeling platform within EMME. To use AGENT, you’ll need to have both EMME and AGENT Add-on entitlements, and you’ll need to configure the EMME feature level by following the instructions available in the Help documentation article at Emme Help->Installing, Authorizing and Starting EMME->Activate EMME licenses->Setting feature level to activate AGENT. Once this is done, it will be possible to start the AGENT user interface and call into the AGENT API. AGENT features and functionality are described above.
EMME is a prerequisite for AGENT Add-on.
The price of EMME varies per region. While there are various types of licensing available, a common choice is the 12-month practitioner license offered through Bentley’s eStore. When you purchase through the eStore you get a Virtuoso Subscription which means you get the software AND the training, expert services, and custom mentoring you need to get started quickly.
No. The AGENT Add-on Virtuosity Subscription will only work with an EMME Virtuosity Subscription. It will not entitle AGENT with EMME perpetual licenses. If you would like to use the AGENT Add-on with EMME perpetual licenses, please contact us.
