Once investigation data is in a structured database, the next challenge is turning a borehole repository and lab results into a 3D ground model that engineers trust for tunnel, bridge, and corridor design. This session focuses on how OpenGround data is used in Leapfrog Works to create and maintain stratigraphic surfaces, fault zones, and groundwater geometry relevant to transport infrastructure.

We will work through examples where changing investigation data (additional boreholes, revised lab results) require model updates and redistribution to design teams without manual rebuilds.

What you will learn: How to transfer borehole locations, lithology, and test results from OpenGround to Leapfrog Works. Techniques for representing heterogeneous ground and groundwater conditions for road and rail tunnels. How to export sections, volumes, and meshes from Leapfrog Works for use in design drawings and numerical models.
