Fast, Consistent Corridor & Junction Geometry with Civil Cells
Geometry revisions become rework when alignments, profiles, and junction layouts are built as disconnected elements. This session focuses on building and revising corridor and junction geometry in one controlled OpenRoads model, using Civil Cells to create repeatable layouts that remain editable when design inputs change. The workflow is aimed at dual carriageways, connector roads, slips, and local road tie-ins where horizontal geometry, vertical geometry, template behavior, and corridor dependencies must stay coordinated through multiple iterations.
What you will learn: Build and revise horizontal alignment, vertical profile, and superelevation controls in one model so geometry changes do not break downstream corridor processing. Use Civil Cells to place repeatable junction, taper, and slip-road layouts while preserving editable geometric constraints. Configure templates, lane transitions, and end conditions for dual carriageways, connectors, and local access tie-ins without rebuilding assemblies after each revision. Review design options against radius, crossfall, stopping sight distance, and profile checks before pushing updates into sheets and quantities.
