FAQS

Find answers

TOWER is steel lattice tower analysis software usefor transmission, distribution, substations, and communication structures.

No. TOWER can be used to model substation gantry and box structures. TOWER can also analyse communication towers under EIA/TIA 222-F and G codes.

TOWER supports code checks for single angles, double angles, cruciform and round cross sections.

TOWER supports most major international lattice tower design codes, including ASCE, ECCS, CENELEC, AS 3995, IS 802 and other design codes for automated member and connection capacity checks.

TOWER uses our proprietary SAPS Finite Element Analysis program to calculate forces and moments in members and connections under userdefined loading conditions. Nonlinear analysis options help capture secondorder effects, such as PDelta behaviorstructural instabilities, and behavior of tension-only members.

TOWER can be used as a standalone program or the structure models can be integrated into PLSCADD and PLSCADD/LITE models for complete overhead line design and automated structural checks.

Yes, TOWER includes powerful structure optimization features including optimization of member sizes and connection bolts for the entire structure or structure families. Optimization of overstressed members and connections is useful for rehabilitation of existing tower designs.
