Greg Bentley

CEO and Chairperson of the Board

Greg Bentley

Greg Bentley joined his four brothers at Bentley Systems in 1991. Previously, he founded a financial trading software firm, which became part of SunGard Data Systems, Inc., an S&P 500 company on whose public-company board Greg served from 1991 through 2005. He holds an M.B.A. in finance and decision sciences from Wharton. Greg is a trustee of Drexel University, where he also serves as chairman of the advisory board for the Pennoni Honors College.

Keith A. Bentley

EVP and Board Director

Keith A. Bentley

Keith Bentley is a founder of Bentley Systems and is the principal architect of the company’s technology directions. He has served as a director and an executive officer since Bentley’s inception, and was the company’s president until 1995 and CEO until 2000. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. Keith is the primary inventor on numerous company patents.

Barry J. Bentley, Ph.D.

Barry is a founder of Bentley Systems and has served as a director and an executive officer since the company’s inception in 1984. He is one of the originators of MicroStation and has been continuously involved in the planning and development of Bentley’s software applications and technology. Barry served as chairman of the board from 1984 to 1996. His software development career dates back to 1979, when he co-founded and served as vice president of Dynamic Solutions Corporation, developing products for data acquisition and analysis. Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware and an M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Raymond B. Bentley

Raymond B. Bentley

Ray Bentley is one of the original developers at Bentley Systems and has served as a director since 2015. He is a lead developer for MicroStation and a chief architect in the Core-Graphics group. Ray earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Kirk B. Griswold

Kirk B. Griswold

Kirk B. Griswold has served on our board of directors since 2002. He is a founding partner of Argosy Capital Group, Inc., a private equity and real estate firm. Kirk holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. with a dual major in finance and management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Janet B. Haugen

Board Director

Janet B. Haugen

Janet B. Haugen joined as a director in September 2020. She previously served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Unisys Corporation from April 2000 to November 2016. She also held positions as Vice President, Controller and Acting Chief Financial Officer of Unisys between April 1996 and April 2000. Prior to joining Unisys, she held positions at Ernst & Young from 1980 to 1996, including as an audit partner from 1993 to 1996. She currently serves on the board of directors, Audit Committee Chair and a member of the Compensation Committee of Paycom Software, Inc., a provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, a position she has held since February 2018. Since May 2019 she has served on the board of directors of Juniper Networks, Inc., which designs, develops and sells high-performance network technology products and services, and as chair of the Audit Committee since February 2020. She also served on the board of directors and chair of the audit committee of SunGard Data Systems Inc., a software and services company, from 2002 to 2005.

Brian F. Hughes

Brian F. Hughes

Brian F. Hughes has served on our board of directors since February 2020. He retired from KPMG LLP in 2019 where he served as partner since 2002. At KPMG LLP, Brian was also national private markets group leader from 2012 to 2019, national co-leader of KPMG’s venture capital practice from 2009 to 2019, and the practice leader of the technology and venture capital group at KPMG’s Philadelphia office from 2002 to 2009. He began his career in 1981 at Arthur Andersen and was elected partner in 1993. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Werner Andre

CFO

Werner Andre

Werner Andre serves as Bentley’s Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2022, where he is responsible for all aspects of finance including worldwide accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax and treasury. Werner joined Bentley in 2015 as Global Corporate Controller, and serves as Bentley’s Chief Accounting Officer since beginning of 2020. He was an instrumental player in the company’s initial public offering process and successfully scaled the financial reporting and controllership functions as the company matured to a public company. Prior to joining Bentley, Werner served as Assistant Corporate Controller – International Accounting and Reporting for Rockwood Holdings, Inc., and held several roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1995 to 2010. Werner is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Pennsylvania, and earned a BS and MBA degree in Accounting and Financial Reporting from the University for Economics and Business Administration in Vienna.

Brock Ballard

Brock Ballard

Brock Ballard joined Bentley in 2020 as Vice President and Regional Executive, Americas, and was named Chief Revenue Officer in 2023. He is responsible for leading all of Bentley’s accounts globally. Previously, Brock held executive sales leader roles, including Director, DELMIA Sales; Dassault Systems; and he served in multiple roles at Autodesk Inc., including Director, AEC and Director, Autodesk Manufacturing A&D and Federal. Brock earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama.

Eric Boyer

Investor Relations Officer

Eric Boyer

Eric Boyer joined Bentley as investor relations officer in December 2022, and is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the company’s investor relations efforts. Eric has over 20 years of experience within investor relations and capital markets, including roles as SVP and Head of Investor Relations at IHS Markit, equity research analyst for Wells Fargo and Deutsche Bank, and management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business logistics and international business from Pennsylvania State University.

Chris Bradshaw

Chief Marketing Officer

Chris Bradshaw

Chris Bradshaw is the chief marketing officer of Bentley Systems. Previously, he was chief marketing and product officer of Blue Prism Group, a London-based software company that specializes in robotic process automation. There, Bradshaw was responsible for vision, strategy, and road maps for the entire software portfolio. Bradshaw served at Autodesk in a variety of leadership roles, including chief marketing officer. He also managed flight software development for the United States Air Force, where he guided the development, testing, and integration of on-board computer systems for two national space programs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from Duke University.

Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell is the chief product officer at Bentley. He joined Bentley in 2022, having previously worked for PTC Inc. He is responsible for defining Bentley’s product strategy and for managing product development to advance the company’s leadership in infrastructure engineering software. Prior to Bentley, Michael has held various positions, managing product development, product strategies, and entire software businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Boston University.

Nicholas Cumins

Nicholas Cumins

Nicholas Cumins is chief operating officer at Bentley Systems. He is responsible for product development, go-to-market, and operations. He has over 20 years of leadership experience with established and startup companies in multiple software industries. Prior to joining Bentley as chief product officer in 2020, Nicholas served as general manager of SAP Marketing Cloud, a comprehensive marketing automation platform. He also served as chief product officer of Scytl, a platform for online voting, in Barcelona, and senior vice president of product with OpenX, a pioneer in programmatic advertising, in Los Angeles. Before OpenX, Nicholas had already served in a variety of senior roles at SAP, including product management, corporate strategy, and business development in the United States, Germany, and France. He earned master’s degrees in law and in business from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University.

James Lawton

Chief Digital Officer

James Lawton

James Lawton is the chief digital officer at Bentley. He joined Bentley in 2021 with the acquisition of geosciences software company Seequent. James leads Bentley’s digital experience strategy, as well as the IT organization, shaping and delivering a seamless experience for Bentley’s users and colleagues across all digital touch points. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in geological sciences from Ontario’s Queen’s University.

Suzanne Little

Suzanne Little

Suzanne Little is the chief colleague success officer at Bentley. She joined Bentley in 2011 and is responsible for leading the company’s global human resources teams, who are focused on supporting and empowering all colleagues to create their success stories at Bentley. Prior to her current position, Suzanne served as vice president of talent, where she was responsible for leading global talent operations including talent acquisition, HR operational excellence, HR shared services, strategic HR business partnership, talent management, total rewards, and talent systems and analytics. Suzanne holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of North Florida and a master’s degree in human resource development from Villanova University.

Katriona Lord-Levins

Chief Success Officer

Katriona Lord-Levins

Kat Lord-Levins is chief success officer and SVP at Bentley. She is responsible for leading the user success team, which strives to meet the business needs of users, build loyalty, and make Bentley their solution of choice. Before joining Bentley, Kat worked for two decades at Autodesk in several roles, including, most recently, focusing on building and leading the construction business unit customer success team. Prior to Autodesk Kat worked at Alias Research in Toronto, a software company that produced high-end 3D graphics software. Kat earned a degree in computer science from the University of Toronto.

Julien Moutte

Julien Moutte

Julien Moutte is chief technology officer of Bentley Systems and is the principal architect of the company’s technology directions. He has over 20 years of technology leadership experience in startups, scaleups, and large organizations. Prior to joining Bentley as vice president of technology in 2021, Julien served as head of technology for SAP Marketing Cloud and a member of the office of the chief technology officer with SAP Customer Experience. He also served as chief technology officer of Scytl, a platform for online voting, and the Fluendo, the Free Software multimedia experts, which he co-founded in 2004 in Barcelona, Spain. Julien holds a degree in computer science from Université Claude Bernard in Lyon, France.

David Shaman

Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

David Shaman

David Shaman joined Bentley in 1998 as deputy general counsel in its Netherlands office and was named Bentley’s chief legal officer in 2016. Prior to this role, he served Bentley as general counsel and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the legal department’s global operations. Before joining Bentley, David was with the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Covington & Burling LLP, in its Brussels, Belgium, office. David earned a jurist doctorate degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.
