At Bentley, we believe in an integrated, formal approach to ESG oversight and strategy. Our Board of Directors has created a Sustainability Committee, which provides formal oversight over ESG. Bentley has also established an internal ESG Steering Committee of executives from all major functional groups that meet regularly to plan and execute ESG strategy, disclosures, and reporting.

A Diverse and Global Organization
Board of Directors
Formal board oversight of ESG is the responsibility of the Sustainability Committee. The Sustainability Committee meets quarterly to assess the company’s ESG strategy and performance.
Executive Management
Bentley’s executive management team has operational responsibility for ESG strategy and implementation, and accountability for performance on ESG goals and objectives.
ESG Steering Committee
Bentley established an ESG steering committee of key cross-functional managers who meet regularly to drive progress on ESG strategy, reporting, and initiatives.
Sustainability Committee
Bentley has established board-level accountability and oversight of ESG through our Sustainability Committee, a board committee of independent directors of Bentley Systems. The Sustainability Committee meets regularly to review and approve the company’s ESG strategy and reporting plans, and directly coordinates with the leadership of the ESG Steering Committee, executive leaders of all Bentley functional groups.
