Right to Request Deletion

A California resident has the right to request that a business delete any personal information about the California resident which the business has collected from the California resident. The CCPA provides for certain exceptions to this deletion right. If we determine an exception applies, we will inform you and tell you why we are not deleting it.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information

A California resident has the right to direct a business that sells personal information about the California resident to third parties not to sell the California resident’s personal information. Bentley does not and will not sell California residents’ personal information. While Bentley does not sell California residents’ personal information, you may request that your information not be sold in the future by going to Bentley’s “Contact Us” web form and providing the requested information or by emailing [email protected].

No Discrimination

A California resident has the right not to be discriminated against because the California resident exercised any of the California resident’s rights under the CCPA. Bentley may charge a different price or rate, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services, if that difference is reasonably related to the value provided to the California resident by the California resident’s data.

How to Submit a Request

To exercise the rights described above, you must submit a verifiable consumer request to us by contacting Bentley at 1-800-BENTLEY (1 800 236 8539) or submitting a request through our “Contact Us” web form and providing the requested information.

You may submit a request as frequently as you would like, but we are not required to respond to requests to know categories or specific pieces of personal information more than twice in any 12-month period.

The information we ask you to provide to initiate a request may differ depending upon the type of request, the type, sensitivity, and value of the personal information that is the subject of the request, and the risk of harm to you that may occur as a result of unauthorized access or deletion, among other factors. We may also require you to provide a written declaration that you are who you say you are. If you maintain an online account with us, we will verify your identity for a request through the normal account authentication process, meaning you will need to sign on with your username and password.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by contacting us at the toll-free number referenced above or our “Contact Us” web form.
