MWM Architekci Sp. z o.o., as part of a joint venture, wanted to create a unique hotel complex, including a conference area, at a unique historical site. Designing and constructing this complex was a challenging undertaking, as it involved many buildings; a power plant; underground water storage and more. To meet deadlines and control costs and quality, management needed to ensure the cooperation and careful coordination of many companies specializing in different areas.
The company needed a way to securely exchange project data between a large group of designers working at different office locations, support 3D modeling, and coordinate and share information with many partners and contractors during construction; this was critical to avoiding errors and time and cost overruns. To meet these needs, they deployed various Bentley software products.
Bentley software enabled the coordinated exchange of data with a large group of designers and design offices during the design and construction – and as a result, the project was completed rapidly. Overall project costs were reduced. For example, designers worked with 3D models, which enable designers to work more efficiently, detect design issues early, and minimize the overall time and effort required to complete the project.
Bentley software, including ProjectWise, AECOsim Building Designer, MicroStation, GenerativeComponents, Bentley Navigator, ProSteel, and InRoads enabled fast, easy exchanges of data with a large group of designers and partners during design and construction. Project managers could coordinate engineering projects effectively and eliminate common implementation errors. At the same time, the automated workflows and efficiencies enabled by the software freed up people’s time for thinking through issues and driving quality throughout all aspects of the project.
