Expert Designer maximizes design efficiency with most GIS or Work Management Systems (WMS). Designers can take advantage of the “designer-friendly” interface and sophisticated capabilities of Expert Designer in virtually any GIS. Expert Designer can be implemented with any of Bentley’s utility GIS products, including Bentley Electric. As a Bentley Geospatial Industry Application, the electric solution supports multiple persistence models that include DGN/RDBMS and Oracle Spatial in a two or three-tier configuration. Expert Designer is also available for organizations using GE Smallworld or ESRI ArcGIS solutions. Designers can choose to design in the environment of their chosen GIS or may design in MicroStation with any of these. Expert Designer ensures the two environments are kept in synch. This flexibility allows you to store and access data as best suits your needs and IT infrastructure.
Expert Designer integrates with Work Management Systems through an architecture that is Work Management System (WMS) independent. With sophisticated functionality for process measurement and tracking, work order management, design layout, estimating, optimization, and job closeout, it provides a comprehensive set of tools that are all accessed through a standard, easy-to-use Windows interface. Expert Designer has been implemented with SAP, Indus Passport (now part of Ventyx Asset Suite), LogicaCMG WMIS, and other major solutions that offer Work Management.
