The use of Bentley’s solutions has been long established as the corporate standard at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council (OMBC). This created a rich, diverse, and productive resource of information upon which to draw for informed decision making. Both in-house and public access were needed with a broad range of end-user and implementation requirements.

After careful consideration Bentley Geo Web Publisher and Bentley Geo Web Solutions were selected as the appropriate solutions.  They provide on demand, simple and easy access to corporate data to enable in-house users to make informed decisions while providing members of the public with direct access to the same information.

The project was initially implemented to provide access to the authority’s land and property assets, detailed highway records, school locations and contact details, community and public building locations and details. Also, a wide variety of other generic maps are available through the application.
