CAD-Phil completed a storage and warehouse site in Belgium for a well-known pharmaceutical company. Requiring high-level security and good manufacturing procedures, these projects are quality-controlled and constraint-driven by regulatory authorities. Specific attention in this project was given to the HVAC system, because pressure specifications can vary room to room.

Bentley Building Mechanical Systems software was beneficial in handling the complexity of this building’s design because it could generate a bill of materials and automatically populate the quantity specifications for a request for proposal. Since constructors base their quoting on these quantities, accuracy is more ensured, and less time and money is lost rectifying quotes and costs. In addition, the use of 3D modeling and visualizations provided by Bentley’s BIM solutions, along with tools to generate 3D PDFs, made it easy to communicate the design to all parties involved in the project.
