You agree to use the discussion groups only to send and receive messages and material that are legal, proper, and related to the particular discussion group. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a discussion group, you will not:
- Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.
- Publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate or offer to do the same (hereinafter "post") any inappropriate, defamatory, infringing, obscene, objectionable, or unlawful material or information.
- Post any material that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party (the "Rights"), unless you are the owner of the Rights or have the permission of the owner to post or transmit such material.
- Post any files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another's computer.
- Advertise or offer to sell any goods or services for any commercial purpose, other than in discussion groups intended for such uses.
- Conduct or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, or chain letters, other than in discussion groups intended for such uses.
- Download any file (posted by another user of a discussion group) that you know, or reasonably should know, that cannot be legally distributed in such manner.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or falsify or delete any author attributions, legal, or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is posted.
- Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the discussion groups.
The Bentley discussion groups are intended to be a constructive, informative, and helpful environment for users and developers of Bentley products and services. Please help by keeping posts on topic and of a constructive nature. We would like our discussion groups to be a place where people of all ages and cultures may participate, so please refrain from using language that may be egregious, objectionable, or coarse to some in posts. Bentley Systems may, at its sole discretion, remove or disable access to messages that are not in keeping with these guidelines.
By participating in these discussion groups, you grant to Bentley the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, modify, translate, display, perform, transmit, and distribute any material you post to a discussion group in any present or future medium and for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
Etiquette
When using the Bentley discussion groups, please:
- Post your message only to the appropriate discussion group.
- Describe the topic of your post in the subject field.
- Include all pertinent information, such as software version, OS and hardware used.
- Include steps to recreate a problem you need help with (and say what you expected to happen).
- When replying to a post, include your message above the quoted text and delete the parts of the quoted text that your message does not address. Don't copy a long post (more than 20 lines) just to add "I agree" or "me too".
- If the post that you are replying to has an image embedded in it or a file attached to it, do not include that in your reply.
- Do not use stationery when posting messages.
- Do not post messages IN ALL CAPS. That is interpreted as shouting.
