By enabling distributed teams to connect and work instantaneously, OpenPlant compresses project schedules and time to market.

Live Connection to PDS Project 

OpenPlant PDx Manager can connect to a Live PDS Project, and can access all design information without requiring PDS Software or License on the machine. Unlike the traditional DGN / DRV file route, OpenPlant PDS Manager opens up the entire PDS project database and provides read access to anyone using MicroStation, ProjectWise Navigator or any ISO 15926 compliant reader. The user can see the breakdown structure of the PDS model in a hierarchy browser, select on individual component and zoom into the selected object from the browser. For each item you have a Attribute Window that displays showing all the PDS information, which is displayed in the same order as the user will see the data within PDS itself and the valid-values available for certain properties as you also see within PDS itself.

Translation of PDS Data into ISO 15926 Format 

OpenPlant PDx Manager can save PDS Data into the ISO 15926 format, thus allowing a PDS Project to be accessed and re-used in an Open format with ISO 15926 compliant applications such as OpenPlant PowerPID. Once in this open format, you can truly collaborate on a heterogeneous project. OpenPlant PDx Manager also enables legacy PDS Data to be saved into the ISO 15926 format, thus extending the life of the data beyond the life of the PDS Application. The information can be accessed and managed across the life of the asset using tools such as ProjectWise Lifecycle Server and provides a deliverable of all PDS data from the project to operations in a format that can be taken into operations and maintenance systems.
