At its core, MXROAD uses 3D string modeling technology – a proven, powerful and concise method of creating any 3D surface. Localised to many country standards, MXROAD includes an extensive library of road styles, the ability to design and dynamically re-grade junctions and roundabouts plus built-in rules for fast and efficient application of superelevation.

By designing your road completely in 3D, the included surface analysis tools allow engineers and designers to identify and correct potential problems during the design phase rather than incur the high cost of re-work on site.

No CAD Required!
MXROAD runs on the most popular CAD platforms, but the Stand-Alone version provides fully functional, high quality CAD tools built in. Eliminating the need for an additional CAD environment or package, users can Reference CAD files “on the fly” including DGN’s, DWG’s and raster images, Save As a DGN or DWG or publish designs to 2D and 3D Adobe PDF formats, all from the stand-alone version.

Full Alignment Design Capability
MXROAD includes multiple alignment design methods, ranging from the ability to create alignments directly from CAD elements, dynamic “rubber-banding” with on-the-fly volumetrics, to highly advanced tools for interactive alignment creation to local standards.

Comprehensive geometric reports are available at every step of the process, making the optimization of cut and fill percentages and therefore exploration of different design scenario’s, a simple process. Ultimately saving the user time, money and resulting in a better design.

MXROAD employs proven technology, representing more than 30 years of civil engineering design know how. Software tools such as MX Command Language and Input Files use simple, repeatable commands that can be recorded and replayed using Wizards.

Native DGN and DWG Support
