Technical Requirements
Minimum Profile
The minimum recommended workstation profile for running Bentley I/RAS B V8 XM Edition is:
Processor: Intel Pentium or AMD AthlonTM.
Operating System: Windows XP and Windows 2000
RAM: 256MB minimum, 512 MB recommended. More memory will almost always improve performance, particularly when working with larger models.
Hard Disk: 900MB free disk space (which includes the 400MB install footprint for a complete installation).
Display: Graphics Card supported by DirectX 9.0. See graphics card manufacturer for latest information on DirectX drivers. If no graphics card supported by DirectX can be found, MicroStation will attempt to use software emulation under Windows XP SP2. At least 128 MB of video RAM is recommended. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher. When using a color depth setting of 16-bit, some inconsistencies will be noted.

MicroStation V8 XM Edition Software v08.09.04.xx must be installed before the installation of Bentley I/RAS B V8 XM Edition v08.09.04.xx.
For Bentley I/RAS B V8 XM Edition v08.09.03.xx
MicroStation V8 XM Edition Software v08.09.03.xx must be installed before the installation of Bentley I/RAS B V8 XM Edition v08.09.03.xx.
