Be Inspired: Infrastructure Best Practices Symposium – a Nomination Benefit

All nominations will receive an invitation to this event, at which the three top projects in each award category will be invited to present their projects and the best practices that made them possible.

Be Inspired: Infrastructure Best Practices Symposium will be a 1½ day event in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States on October 12-14, 2009. On the main day, the three finalists in each of the open categories of the Be Inspired Awards will be invited to give a 20-minute presentation of their project. These presentations will be recorded and streamed on the web as a part of our Be Connected online seminar series. That evening, the winning projects will be honored. On the following half day, we will hold a series of workshops of facilitated discussions of relevant industry and technology issues.

Why attend?
The event in Charlotte, which will be Bentley’s premier event of the year, is intended to live up to its name, Be Inspired—that’s how everyone in attendance should feel at its culmination. The inspiration will come from hearing the “best and the brightest” in the diverse world of infrastructure present the best practices used to create the extraordinary projects judged to be finalists in their respective categories. The content presented here will be relevant, current, and based on the experience gained through real-world project experience and best-in-class innovations in practice. Built in to the agenda will be time for Q&A and networking with these thought leaders in infrastructure. Key members of the infrastructure trade press will attend, providing every presenter with a unique opportunity to market their organization’s innovative work to a broad audience through print and online media, helping them gain both recognition and future business. Greg Bentley and Keith Bentley will deliver “bookend” keynotes to present their vision for Bentley and the infrastructure communities.

On the morning following the day of Be Inspired best practices presentations, we will hold a series of workshops to foster discussion on relevant topics in the industry. There will be several workshop groups moderated by industry thought leaders with support from Bentley’s top technologists and solutions experts. The idea is to have an informal, facilitated discussion among the leading figures in the infrastructure professions.

Every attendee will come away with new insights about addressing the “big challenges” facing the infrastructure professions as well as an expanded network of professional colleagues with whom to share ideas in the future.

Who should attend?
The Be Inspired event is geared for individuals who drive innovation and best practices in architectural, engineering, construction and geospatial contracting firms, owners, operators and government agencies who design, build and maintain and operate infrastructure. All Be Inspired awards nominees will receive an invitation. If you would like to receive an invitation, please contact your Bentley account manager.
