SELECT Server Makes License Evaluation Simple
Want to evaluate a Bentley application before you start using it?
With SELECT Server, evaluation licensing is available to all ELS subscribers. By testing evaluation licenses on SELECT Server, you keep test and evaluation usage separate from production usage (which has a cost associated with it). Evaluation site activation keys can be set up under your ELS contract at no charge. To request your evaluation site license key today, contact your Bentley Account Manager or Ken Anderson at Ken.Anderson@Bentley.com.
Ready to get started with evaluation licenses?
To deploy evaluation licenses to users, SELECT Server administrators should check out a license from the SELECT Server Evaluation Licensing portfolio, and then e-mail the checked-out license to users in XML form. The user can then import the XML license into the Bentley application to be evaluated. To get started, administrators can access the License Checkout tool found under License Management on the SELECT Server administration interface.
**Please note that a checked-out license from the SELECT Server administrator can be applied to the application to be evaluated without affecting any production software activation. Conversely, using the evaluation site activation key directly would activate all Bentley applications to the evaluation site.
