Geospatially Enabled Federated Data Management

Users of ProjectWise Geospatial Management Also Bought
Users of ProjectWise Geospatial Management and ProjectWise also use Bentley applications from our Building, Plant, Civil, and Geospatial product portfolios. Bentley’s core GIS application, Bentley Map V8i Edition, as well as the industry applications that are built upon it, integrate tightly with ProjectWise Geospatial Management. The feature or component level spatial indexing available in ProjectWise Geospatial Management is facilitated by the XML Feature Modeling (XFM) functionality in our core GIS applications that produce data in DGN form that can easily be indexed.

Individual features, such as these hydrants, may be spatially indexed in ProjectWise Geospatial Management and reviewed
without opening their associated DGN files.

Ideal for Managing Large Raster Archives

ProjectWise Geospatial Management is also ideal for storing and managing large amounts of imagery, such as aerial photography and mosaics. Bentley Descartes is often used to enhance, register, and mosaic these images.  Bentley Descartes also aids in spatially indexing mosaics and populating the metadata in ProjectWIse Geospatial Management.

Aerial Coverage of the Toronto area is depicted symbolized by year.
Missing coverage is quickly apparent through the intuitive spatial GUI.

Enterprise Workflows

Bentley Geo Web Publisher is also a favorite with users of ProjectWise Geospatial Management. It can leverage the versioning and workflow knowledge of ProjectWise to determine and initiate needed updates to any pre-published information it caches, ensuring Geo Web Publisher users are always in sync.

Enterprise users also take advantage of our enterprise connectors, such as the ProjectWise Connector for Oracle and the ProjectWise Connector for ArcGIS Software. These applications work hand-in-hand with ProjectWise Geospatial Management to facilitate workflows where Oracle Spatial or an ESRI geodatabase are being used to house information needed in infrastructure workflows.
