AASHTO's TRAC-Drawbridge Competition

Bentley is proud to announce that the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) is using MicroStation PowerDraft in its TRAC-Drawbridge Competition. See AASHTO Competition Guidelines.

The TRAC (Transportation Research Activities Center) program is a new way of introducing students to the wide variety of career opportunities available in the field of engineering. And the Drawbridge Competition is designed to be an extended activity created from the TRAC PAC 2 Bridge Builder module. ASCE/AISC National Student Steel Bridge Competition

Be Careers is proud to co-sponsor the 2011 NSSBC. The National Student Steel Bridge Competition offers future structural engineers the opportunity to apply their learning and management skills to a design and fabrication project. Winning teams from each conference competition go on to compete at the National competition, hosted at Texas A&M University on May 20-21, 2011. To support student steel bridge teams, Be Careers was also pleased to offer free software and tutorials to participating ASCE student chapters.

Future City Competition

Bentley is proud to support National Engineers Week as a sponsor of the Future City Competition. This annual competition, targeted at sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students, aims to stir interest in science, technology, engineering, and math among young people. The competition provides a fun, educational engineering program that combines a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to let students present their vision of a city of the future. Bentley encourages both students and professional users to get involved in this rewarding experience.

The 2011 Future City National Finals, sponsored by Bentley, will take place in February at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Teams from 38 middle schools nationwide, winners of regional competitions held in January, gathered to present their projects. Read more about the competition and winners.
