Bentley Transportation Data Manager (TDM) manages information about the transportation infrastructure. For roads, this can include functional class, number of lanes, type of median, surface type and speed limit. For rail, this can include information about the track, ties, or ballast. TDM enables you to directly link information to routes to create a fully segmented model.
To handle attributes whose values change along the route, TDM also supports linear and point events along the route. Alternatively, TDM enables information to be stored against a linear datum. This simplifies the handling of coincident routes, isolates the information from changes in route designation, and results in significant savings in maintaining this information. You can still view the information as if it were stored against the route.
