Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard is a 3,200-acre, 2,200-lot development in the Texas Hill Country. A huge part of the utility design involved a water distribution system that must be built in nine stages to accommodate the different phases of the development. There were a thousand different configurations of sources, pipe sizes, and infrastructure arrangements that could be used to create the system.
WaterCAD V8 allowed M&S Engineering to easily create a dynamic water model that could be adjusted to simulate a variety of configurations with a few clicks of the mouse. The ability to isolate different parts of the model and create different scenarios saved the firm hundreds of hours throughout the project.
