Bentley Instrumentation and Wiring 8.9.3 introduces a new type of template token for complex devices. Using the &D prefix you can place tokens for devices that relate to the row number of the device terminal instead of the row numbers of the instruments or motors connected upstream of the device.
This makes life a great deal easier for components such as variable speed drive units that may have 10 terminals on the left side of the device and 20 terminals on the right side of the device.
All tokens for connections from the devices can follow the same device terminal row numbering with tokens prefixed &D. The device builder design window has been enhanced to display the terminal row numbers to make it easier to determine the token format.
