The complete Bentley solution for oil and gas begins with tools for site preparation and planning, including mapping, visualization, GIS lease management, site modeling, management of water run-off with a view toward reducing plant footprints and minimizing environmental impact.
The Bentley tools for front-end engineering and design (FEED) capture the conceptual design, provide preliminary process schematics and early engineering designs and do automatic piping to rapidly prepare and evaluate design alternatives which helps with early cost estimating.
For detailed engineering Bentley offers AutoPLANT, the number one AutoCAD-based plant design system used on large distributed-enterprise projects as well as smaller plant rework projects, and PlantSpace, the MicroStation-based plant design system for 3D plant modeling. In addition ProjectWise is used for management of all the project drawings, models and documents.
Bentley also offers products that allow construction sequencing simulation, simulation of specific construction jobs, and tools to view CAD documents without the need to load the native CAD software at the site. And for the operations and maintenance phase, the Bentley solution for oil and gas manages the engineering data and documents and interfaces engineering data to spare parts management systems, maintenance systems and other infrastructure systems for rapid access to data for operations and safety issues.
