LEAP Bridge: Latest Release

LEAP Bridge is an industry-standard product for concrete bridges— which make up 70 percent of the new bridges constructed today in the U.S. Thousands of bridge engineers, 38 U.S. state departments of transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rely on this integrated parametric design and analysis toolset. LEAP handles pre-cast, cast-in-place, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete bridges. Cast-in-place geometry and substructure and superstructure analysis are handled with one common project database for up-to-minute accuracy. The LEAP system supports industry standards for data exchange and load rating.

One click and you're there. LEAP Bridge packs all the component analysis, design and load rating functionality of our industry-leading applications into one simple to use application. All component design modules are accessed from LEAP Bridge which is easily navigated with an efficient tabbed design.

Dual Code Analysis, Design and Load Rating
LRFD Transition is here and LEAP Bridge makes it easy. The premiere dual code application, allows users to switch between LFD and LRFD/LRFR specifications on the fly. Working with dual code capabilities allows users hands-on, practical learning of the new code requirements. Keep your projects on-schedule and maintain your efficiency while you transition.

Powerful Modeling Capabilities

Automated Bridge Creator (ABC) Wizard
Through a guided three-step process, users enter superstructure geometry, define substructure and specify materials in the straightforward wizard mode. Once completed, a full bridge model is automatically generated. Users have more time to focus on intricate engineering analysis and design. The superstructure may be Prestressed Girders, CIP Post-Tensioned Box Girders or CIP Reinforced Slabs. The substructure may be either Integral or Drop-Cap Type Piers with or without pile footings.

Full Bridge and Multiple Bridge Functionality
The powerful LEAP Bridge database and dynamic graphical capabilities provide users with the ability to model and view full bridge and multiple bridge projects. LEAP Bridge delivers instant 3D visualization of the entire bridge including reinforcement inside the super-structure. The solid and transparent 3D views assist with complex geometry visualization. Users see realistic bridge profile, elevation and cross-slopes for quick verification of input.

3D Reinforcement Viewer
LEAP Bridge gives users the unique ability to view superstructure reinforcement in the 3D viewer. Longitudinal reinforcement, shear reinforcement and PT-Tendons are shown for Box Girder bridges and deck longitudinal reinforcement and stirrups are shown for Prestressed Girder bridges.

2D Component Views
LEAP Bridge delivers 2D views for all superstructure and substructure components. The 2D views may be printed and exported to DXF/DWG with dimensions and used as preliminary drawings, replacing the need for hand sketches. Data input is easily verified, and view controls enable users to zoom-in/out and pan for closer design inspection. View plan, cross section, and front and side elevation.

Layout, Analyze and Design Integral/Monolithic Piers
LEAP Bridge handles the complete engineering lifecycle of an integral pier design. All geometry, superstructure and substructure are completed within a single application. Reactions from the superstructure analysis (dead and live load) are taken directly to the substructure module. This is your complete, accurate and efficient solution for Integral/Monolithic pier analysis and design.

LandXML Compliant 
LandXML is the common database format used throughout the transportation industry by top applications including MicroStation, InRoads, GEOPAK and many more. The LEAP Bridge database is LandXML registered and certified, enabling users to directly exchange information with other transportation applications. Share data including:

AASHTOWare Integration
Front-end bridge description data entry is eliminated by the direct integration of LEAP Bridge with the AASHTO BRIDGEWare database. The direct exchange of critical project information ensures the preservation of your data and the accuracy of your results. Exchange data including:

Project Information Exchange Center
By directly integrating a LandXML compliant application with AASHTOWare, LEAP Bridge becomes the main data command center for your bridge projects. Reciprocal data exchange with other industry applications that are otherwise unable to communicate directly with each other provides users with an automated, seamless data exchange mechanism that ensures the preservation of critical project information delivering accurate results. Time-wasting duplication of data entry with the risk of operator error is eliminated while productivity is increased. Spend more time on complex engineering issues and complete projects in less time.

Single Database
All project information is recorded and stored in the LEAP Bridge database. This single database powers parametric design capabilities. Changes to the design of any component are updated throughout the project, eliminating the need to make multiple, time-consuming corrections to all project components.

Information on Demand
Flexible reporting options enable users quick and easy access to entire project data from the report options tab. Users select the data required from the central report menu for both full project/bridge reports as well as individual component reports. Reports may be printed, saved as HTML files or exported to spreadsheets.
