There is a general awakening within the industry that by creating 3D models early in the life of a project, there are so many more advantages over the practises employed to date. The power of computers and software has now reached a stage where this is becoming a viable option in a design office. This presentation discusses some of the programs in use by Fluor (including PlantWise and AutoPLANT) that can create these advantages and details some of the methods that have proved successful.
