Easy-to-Use Search Tools
Find any device or address on your map with a predefined search tool. Search anywhere on your network for an address and access all of the facilities associated with the address. Provide easy access via a Web browser to operations and customer service. This capability can also be used for Call-Before-You-Dig scenarios and to locate a device and addresses being affected by an outage. Any facility, whether it is a pole/pedestal, amplifier, splice, sheath, power supply, node, headend, or optical system can easily be located. Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications also offers the ability to easily customize queries for specialized search functions. |

Handy Review Tools
Display detailed equipment information with the click of the mouse. Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications has as many review tools as there are search tools. Any equipment attributes stored in the database can be reviewed for each device type. Review a single device or simply place a fence on the map and all devices within that fence will be listed for review. Rapidly identify node, amplifier, and the power supply feeding each address. Review amplifier plug-ins, coaxial equipment, and duct/inner-duct cables in a cross section view. If you wish to view only your fiber network or coaxial network, layers are easily turned off and on to display the desired equipment. |

Tracing
Find out the path your signal is taking to reach its destination. Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications will locate graphically any optical system path or fiber route on the map via the trace capabilities. Detailed information about the length of an optical system, the restoration priority, and the job description is available. Trace results can provide information mission critical to technical engineers trying to identify the source of a problem within a network. A redundancy route can also be viewed and compared to a primary optical route to avoid using the same infrastructure. |

Outage Analysis
An important feature of Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications is the ability to locate an outage. Simply select a fiber from a sheath and enter the distance on the OTDR, and Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications quickly displays the location of the outage. No longer is time wasted by searching other data, such as paper plans or spreadsheets, in order to know where to roll the truck for repairs. Customer satisfaction levels are improved through minimized downtime. |

Cross Section Review
By selecting a fiber, a detailed cross section of each fiber in a cable can be viewed in a user-friendly Web interface by individuals in any organization that need the information to make critical decisions. A color-coded buffer/fiber connection easily depicts the fiber connections. A design engineer or provisioner may be interested in available fibers for new customers, while a field technician can quickly determine all connections to aid in repair. A fiber’s optical route on the map can also be traced simply by clicking the “trace” icon. |

Splice Reports
Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications quickly displays splicing information produced from a single source of information, which eliminates the possibility of errors caused by duplicated data on different systems. Everybody works from the same information - no more flawed decisions due to the use of out-of-date information found in disparate systems or on paper. Users can also trace optical system routes by clicking the “trace” icon in the Splice Report. In 2011, the ability to expand splitter/MUX devices associated with a sheath to review input/output fiber direction and fiber information including circuit IDs and wavelength, was added. |

Inside Plant View
Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications offers tabular display of devices located within a rack frame, review of wire run reports per rack frame, and ability to report on HVAC load of a given rack frame or room. The product has the ability to expand chassis that contain cards and devices to review and report on associated information. |

Locates Within a Buffer
Locate serviceable addresses within a specified distance of a fiber cable. Rapidly identify all the addresses that are or can be serviced from a designated fiber cable route. This capability produces an address list that can be easily exported to a spreadsheet for further analysis or reporting. |

User-Friendly Navigation
Bentley Geo Web Publisher for Communications' navigation functions are available from the toolbar located at the bottom of the main window. You can pan, zoom, define the window area, or fit the entire area you are viewing into the main viewing window. Additionally, you can use the overview map pane at the lower right to quickly orient yourself in the view. This “bird’s-eye view” depicts the area you are viewing in the main browser window on an overview map of the entire network or geographic area. The navigation toolbar also contains helpful tools to measure distances and areas or copy displayed information to the Windows clipboard for use in reports or other presentations. |
