Commitment to Interoperability
The need for interoperable workflows and data interoperability for infrastructure projects and assets is clear and well documented. The ability to seamlessly exchange and reuse information throughout design, delivery and operations represents an opportunity to significantly reduce costs, save time, and improve the quality of infrastructure while reducing many of the risks involved.
Bentley has long been committed to achieving the highest level of interoperability within our solutions, with other vendors’ software, and through the support of key industry standards.
We believe that interoperability is both needed for AECO practitioners and good business for vendors. Where other software vendors haven’t yet responded in kind, Bentley has worked to make it possible for users to achieve interoperations across even these vendors’ applications through innovations like i-models, iWare, the Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) data exchange, and OpenPlant offerings based on ISO 15926 to name a few.

“We’re excited about how i-models and iWare help us fill key workflow interoperability gaps, making design information more easily accessible to everyone who needs it - particularly when multiple file formats are in use, we can avoid many error-prone translations back and forth. This saves us precious time by streamlining the exchange of critical project information so we can focus on delivering world class projects.”
