StormCAD, PondPack, CulvertMaster and FlowMaster*
are FEMA-Approved

StormCAD, PondPack, and CulvertMaster are accepted by the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and are on the list of numerical models accepted for use in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

* The use of FlowMaster is approved by FEMA for normal depth calculations to establish base flood elevations for Letter of Map Amendment and Letter of Map Revision based on fill requests along streams, creeks, and rivers designated as approximate Zone A on NFIP maps. (Note: FlowMaster is not on FEMA’s Nationally Accepted Hydraulic Models list.)

SWMM models from CivilStorm are also accepted by FEMA.

StormCAD, PondPack, CulvertMaster and Flowmaster, which are used by thousands of municipal governments, state and federal agencies and consulting firms in the United States can be used for determining flood hazards in all 50 states.

The NFIP makes federally backed flood insurance available to residents and businesses in over 20,000 United States communities and identifies and maps the nation’s floodplains. FEMA’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and Flood Insurance Studies (FISs) provide communities with 100-year flood elevations for rivers and coastal areas, which are used in the implementation of floodplain management programs.
