Presentado por:  Oscar Custers, director, Geospatial
Resumen:

This eSeminar will illustrate how the 3D modeling of urban environments and associated technology and methods are used in real-world examples. You will learn how highly precise and visually realistic modeling improves decision making and speeds up urban planning and infrastructure projects.  Included are a number of real-world examples of 3D mapping and visualization projects.

Lo que Vd. Puede aprender:
  • The importance of 3D modeling and visualization in the context of planning, change impact analysis, public scrutiny and debate, and urban infrastructure projects
  • The role that 3D models play in improving the quality and speed of decision making
  • Relevant case histories where 3D modeling has led to significant cost savings though increased speed, better understanding of the project’s wider impact and an increased ability to share relevant information with other stakeholders including the public
  • Case histories: City of Copenhagen, and the City of Helsinki’s integration of full 3D models into their planning, engineering, and service processes
  • What policies, processes and procedures lead to the best use of 3D models in local government environments.
  • Which approaches to the use of 3D models are most cost effective.
  • Which skills and processes are needed internally to take full advantage of this advanced geospatial paradigm.
