Technical Requirements

Server Requirements

Processor: Intel Pentium-based or AMD Athlon-based server.

Operating System:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2

Memory: 2 GB (4 GB or more typically results in better performance).

Hard Disk: 1GB minimum free disk space

Database Sources:

  • Version 3.51 (or higher) of the Microsoft ODBC driver (32-bit)
  • Oracle Server 9i, 10g or 11g (Oracle Server 9i and 10g with Oracle Client 11g are supported per the Oracle Policy)
  • Oracle Client 11g 32-bit must be installed on the same computer as Bentley Geo Web Publisher V8i
  • The OCI component must be selected during the installation of Oracle Client 11g 

Software pre-requisites:

  • Internet Explorer 7 or later
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Client Requirements

Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (32-bit) or later

Map Viewer:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (32-bit) or later
  • Graphics card supported by DirectX 9.0c. See the graphics card manufacturer for latest information on DirectX drivers. 256 MB of video RAM or higher is recommended. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher.
