United Water Adopts Innovative Modeling Processes to Improve Water System Management
United Water and IDModeling standardize water model building and analysis using Bentley’s water software. To focus on improving efficiency in its water networks, United Water worked with IDModeling, a company that delivers hydraulic modeling solutions.
Manila Water Improves the Reliability and Efficiency of the Antipolo Water Supply System
The people of Antipolo can now enjoy clean and potable water 24x7. In order to optimize the Antipolo Water Supply System, Manila Water’s plan was to: evaluate the steady state and transient hydraulics of the preferred pipeline, pump station and reservoir combination as well as improve the reliability and efficiency of the network.
City Expands Water Supply Without Deploying Additional Water Sources
M&S Engineering used WaterCAD to expand City of Fair Oaks Ranch’s water supply while helping to safeguard limited ground water sources. After quickly but thoroughly evaluating a large number of options, M&S Engineering provided the city with a cost-effective solution and was also able to sketch out a four-phase capital improvement program.
Bentley’s Stormwater Modeling Helps Paulus, Sokolowski, & Sartor, LLC Design Thunderbolt Raceway Motorsports Park’s Stormwater Systems
The project objective was to provide a park-like setting geared to family entertainment and broad-based motorsports education. Challenges included the proper sizing of six infiltration basins without impacting the race track, the piping of a very large open drainage ditch, and meeting regulatory conditions from the FAA and NJDEP.
More Than $800,000 Savings Achieved on the MacDonald Avenue Sanitary Sewer Line Upgrade Project
Swinerton Management and Consulting used SewerCAD to upgrade the Richmond sanitary sewer system to reduce sewer overflows. Swinerton will also use SewerGEMS for future work for the City of Richmond.
Maintaining Fire Fighting Capacity While Managing Pressure to Reduce Leakage at Brisbane Water
Brisbane Water used WaterGEMS to implement two potentially conflicting strategies (WSSS CI program and pressure and the Leakage Management program).
WaterGEMS Powers Design of Breakthrough 24-by-7 Water System in India
Technical innovation showcased as inspiration for water utilities in developing economies. Supplying potable water to dense populations in developing countries is a perpetually daunting task for water utilities.
Skeletonization of Water Distribution Model Allows Toronto to Save More Than One Million Dollars
Skeletonization of water distribution model allows the city to comply with two different departments' model requirements for major cost savings. The City of Toronto operates and maintains an extensive water network that includes more than 3,500 miles of water mains.
GMI SA Ingenieros Consultores Saves $50,000 in Water System Design Costs
The objective of this project was to develop the detailed engineering for a permanent freshwater supply for the new concentrator process. GMI had to prove it could decrease the number of man-hours usually budgeted to create drawings, calculations, and other project documents. To ensure its efficiency, GMI turned to new technologies, primarily HAMMER and Bentley AutoPIPE.

High-Capacity Wastewater Treatment Facility Reclaims Water Resources
The growing area of Okaloosa County was in critical need for increased wastewater treatment capacity. The county’s Garniers treatment plant was more than 30 years old, treated only 6.5 million gallons of water per day, and was close to a school and residential area. Okaloosa County teamed with CDM to design and build a new, state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility.
Water Treatment Plant Expansion Eases Pressure on Water Supply
The Walsh Group used Bentley's BIM applications to expand the Scottsdale Central Arizona Project (CAP) water treatment plant in order to ensure the long-term availability of safe and abundant drinking water.

Keeping Venice Afloat
To help keep Venice afloat and restore the fragile ecosystem of the surrounding Venice Lagoon, CREA is using complex mathematical models that work within MicroStation. Venice is in danger of slowly disappearing under the waves of the lagoon upon which it was built twelve hundred years ago.
