Bentley Navigator for the iPad

Bentley Navigator for the iPad lets you navigate, view, and mark up 3D models for design review and coordination as well as site inspections – all with full markup synchronization in collaborative workflows – now anywhere, right on your iPad! It also uniquely provides panoramic navigation in an immersive environment for true “hands-on” reviews. With this innovative capability, you can navigate models by simply moving your iPad as though it were a “window into the model.” And the iPad’s motion sensors and touch screens also give you fast and easy access to object properties – such as the thickness of a pipe, its color, or its pressure rating.

Use this versatile app to review “points-of-interest” in models to quickly access the information when needed. Any annotations made on your iPad can then be merged with the models on desktop software. Bentley’s i-models (containers for open infrastructure information exchange) optimized for the iPad can combine any DGN, Revit, DWG, DXF, Rhino (3DM), and 3DS files.

ProjectWise Explorer for the iPad

ProjectWise Explorer for the iPad gives you a powerful subset of features available in Bentley’s ProjectWise – a system of servers and services for engineering team collaboration and work sharing that helps teams manage project information to improve quality, reduce rework, and meet project deadlines.

With this app, you can now use your iPad to:

Create secure work packages from documents stored in ProjectWise by adding a wide variety of file types
Send packages to the iPad for use at a construction site or other remote location.
Open these packages, view their contents, see properties of individual files, and even preview files
Share files with other applications that offer advanced editing features to annotate documents
Export return package to ProjectWise Explorer on your desktop to synchronize for review

Also connect directly to your ProjectWise database and access files directly within iPad.

Note that you will need Bentley’s ProjectWise software to make full use of this app.

ProjectWise web services

Now users can directly access their ProjectWise database from the iPad. This means that you no longer have to send your documents to the iPad through email, Dropbox, etc. Instead you can do the following:

Have your ProjectWise system admin install ProjectWise web services
System admin will provide a key to all ProjectWise users
By clicking on the ‘+’ icon in ProjectWise Explorer for iPad, users can configure the iPad to access their ProjectWise database:
- Enter the key and ProjectWise login
- Navigate the ProjectWise folders and select a file to view in the app
- Do things like ‘check-in’, ‘check-out’, etc. from an action menu

Structural Synchronizer View for iPad, iPhone, and iTouch

View and explore your 3D structural models created with Structural Synchronizer V8i - from anywhere using your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.

Bentley’s Structural Synchronizer V8i is the core component of an Integrated Structural Modeling workflow. It provides data synchronization, change management, revision history, and model viewing. It integrates applications and data such as structural modeling, analysis and design, documentation and drafting, detailing and fabrication, and industry-neutral file formats.
