Josh Mason

Workshop Tutor

Mason is a Senior Computational Designer at Aedas R&D collaborating on projects that have included mixed-use master planning, complex structures and the development of early-stage design tools. His research into parametric and computational design methods stems from an interest in early performance simulation to explore sustainable design strategies and in the integration of fabrication techniques through collaboration and comprehensive modeling.
 
He holds a BS in Mechanical and Civil Engineering from Columbia University, New York, and an MA in Emergent Technology and Design from the Architectural Association, London. He previously worked in professional scenic construction and managed a steel fabrication facility in New York.
