The increasing maturity of parametric and computational design processes in practice has lead to remarkable results in the built environment. The Alumni Summit showcases previous SmartGeometry participants' contribution with recent projects. The goal of the Alumni Summit is to showcase building visions by realizing architects' visions of what seemed impossible before and what building can become with today's technology and design thinking.

The conference focused on building the vision for what is to come. The past year has posed many unforeseen challenges, both economically and through political changes, opening up new opportunities. A strong vision is essential for all of these changes, and the conference day challenged a unique list of speakers to formulate their vision of what is to come. To build a vision takes a unique combination of skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to cross disciplinary boundaries, bridge old and new, and contextualize recent trends in an overall picture of the industry and society.
