Ashish Kumar, ISD – Dubai, Middle East, and Africa
Ashish Kumar is a civil engineering graduate from Bangalore University, India with over 16 years of work experience. His experience includes extensive structural design of residential and commercial buildings in India and Kenya and project management of one of the largest construction sites (NSSF – Kitisuru) in Kenya.
In 1999, he got involved in the software industry as a functional consultant for development of tendering and estimation software. Later he moved to channel management and business development and software sales. While working with REI, Ashish developed a channel network for the entire Middle East and strengthened REI’s presence in South East Asia. He has been a part of REI and later Bentley since 2002.

Kareem Sherif – Middle East and Africa
Kareem has just relocated to Bentley’s Amman, Jordan office to assume a new role as a Regional Engineer covering the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Prior to moving, Kareem covered the Western United States and Canada as a Regional Engineer with the Structural Group since 2007. In his role as a Regional Engineer, Kareem met with over 140 companies each year and worked with many clients, helping them increase their productivity through the use of Bentley software.
Kareem has been a registered professional engineer in California since 2004. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelors in Architectural Engineering, and from the University of California, San Diego, with a Masters in Structural Engineering. His experience includes extensive design work in high seismic regions, including structures of all types and materials such as steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and composites. During his years as a consulting structural engineer for Wiseman+Rohy, of San Diego, he worked as project engineer on several mixed-use complexes as well as several multiplex theatres in the Western United States. Kareem was also part of a reconnaissance team at the World Trade Center site in NYC, following the 9/11 attacks, while interning with Thornton-Tomasetti in New York City. Swain Johnson, RE – Perth, Australia Swain Johnson has a diploma in structural engineering from the Institute of Technology in Sydney and graduated in 1994. In Sydney, he practiced for 10 years as a structural designer. Most of the projects he completed were for the design of reinforced concrete structures including retirement villages and residential, commercial, retail, and high-rise buildings. Before Bentley, he worked for an Autodesk channel partner as a state sales manager for eight years, providing structural solutions based on Autodesk’s CAD-based applications to structural engineering firms in Australia. James Forbes, AE – Brisbane, Australia James is a qualified professional structural engineer based in Brisbane. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a bachelor of engineering (Civil) degree in 2000. He has 10 years real-world structural design experience including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, as well as water and maritime infrastructure projects. His design skills incorporate steelwork, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, timber, and masonry materials. During his time with Taylor Thomson Whitting in Sydney, he carried out detailed design for "The Mint" historic refurbishment project in Sydney, winner of both the RAIA’s Sulman Greenway and Lachlan Macquarie architectural awards. Badreddine Ziane, RE – Europe, Parts of Africa
Badreddine is well known to colleagues in Bentley's Bristol and Yorba Linda offices. He worked as the office manager for Research Engineers in France since 1998, then as Product Specialist Partner for Bentley Systems.
Badreddine, 43, is a civil engineering graduate from Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics in Paris, France. He comes to Bentley with almost 14 years of experience in structural software distribution. He worked in a construction company for one year after his graduation before plunging into structural software distribution. Badreddine has extensive experience of the STAAD line of products as well as other engineering solutions for piping stress and piping network analysis. |

Christine Wehrsig, RE - Germany
Christine Wehrsig has been working in sales for CAD solutions since 2000. She has studied sales engineering at the University of Applied Sciences. Her experience includes sales for structural design and analysis software as well as modeling and drafting software. During her years as a distributor for ProSteel 3D in Europe she has grown the market in southern Germany and helped ProSteel 3D become a leading solution for steel detailing and drafting. She has been part of Bentley since 2007. |

Andrew Miller, RE – UK, Ireland, Russia Andrew has been a chartered structural engineer, MIStructE, since 1999. He graduated from Strathclyde University with a first-class honours degree in civil engineering in 1993. He worked in four structural engineering consultancies in the United Kingdom designing steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. In 1999, he became the managing regional engineer for RAM International (Europe) Ltd heading up sales and support for RAM products throughout Europe. Mohan Pvn, AE – Chennai, India
Mohan P.V.N is a civil engineer with a Green Belt in Six Sigma. He graduated from JNT University with a degree in civil engineering in 2004 and then went on to complete a PG certificate program in computational engineering from IIT Madras with project experience in BHEL. His experience includes design of industrial structures, pressure vessels, and mathematical modeling, in particular, designing Tele Towers in Aster. He has been a part of Bentley since 2006. Madhan Elumalai, AE - Singapore
Madhan graduated from University of Madras with a degree in civil engineering in 1995 and a masters degree in business administration from Bharathidasan University in 2001. His 14 years of experience includes extensive design experience for industrial, building, and special structures of all types and materials including steel and concrete. During his time consulting for M/s STADD Engineers in Chennai in 1995, he worked as a design engineer on the Emami Paper mill project, a few multistory RC building projects, and a sports stadium project. Later, Madhan joined Research Engineers, Chennai, India as a sales and support engineer for structural software products in 1996. In 2001, he was promoted to engineering analyst and relocated to the Singapore office of research engineers to help sell and support REI’s structural products in Asia Pacific. In 2003, he was promoted to engineering manager with additional responsibilities of engineering consultancy services. In addition to the sales and support activities of structural products, Madhan completed a few special structures projects such as analysis and design of an Aircooler supporting structure subjected to vibration and transportation loads. During this time, he has also completed several customized and advanced trainings in specialized fields including non-linear cables and others. Sreedhar Kalavagunta, Sr. AE - Singapore
Sreedhar is an engineering postgraduate (M.E) from Bharathiar University with a degree in structural engineering with computer applications. His experience includes design of structural systems like buildings and bridges, and experimental investigation study of bridge behavior, time-dependent properties of steel and concrete, and software development on various international codes for STAAD.Pro. Santanu Chakrabarti, AE (Kolkata, India)
Santanu is a mechanical engineer practicing in India since 1989. He graduated from the renowned Bengal Engineering College, Shibpore (now a university) with a degree in mechanical engineering. He completed his masters in engineering at BITS Pilani and received an MBA from Jadavpur University India, followed by intermediate certification in cost accountancy and certification in computer applications. Prior to joining REI in 1999, he performed various capacities in a reputed consultancy firm. He has worked in the R&D and technical support division of REI in India and the United States since April 1999. In 2005, when Bentley acquired REI, he joined the AutoPIPE team and worked as the associate product manager CAE. He is now part of the Bentley operations group, working as a structural CAE specialist in Bentley Calcutta. Pankaj Mittal, RE – New Dehli
Pankaj graduated from National Institute of Technology, Calicut in 2004 with a degree in civil engineering. His initial experience included being a project engineer while working with Total Environment Building systems. He joined REI in 2005 and was part of Bentley India until November 2007 before rejoining Bentley again in 2009. He is responsible for business development of structural products in northern India. He worked with CADS Software India as manager of sales from 2007 to September 2008 for developing the RC detailing software business in northern India region. Pradip K. Maity, ISD – Asia North, Singapore
Pradip graduated (B Tech ) from Bengal Engineering College, Calcutta University and received an MBA from California State University. He worked with Nuclear Power Corporation and Mahindra & Mahindra before joining Research Engineers. He started developing business for Research Engineers in 1992 from Singapore and penetrated countries like South East Asia, China, Australia, and the Middle East with STAAD.Pro as the VP for NetGuru. Jason Reichel, SE - ISD – North America
Jason is a registered professional engineer in Michigan, Indiana, and Arizona. He graduated from Michigan Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering and later earned a Master’s Degree in architectural engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. His experience includes steel mills, automotive plants, residential and commercial structures, and even underwater bridge inspections. As an engineer with Albert Kahn in 2001, he worked on a “virtual factory” pilot project with General Motors utilizing and testing early Bentley BIM software. He joined Bentley in 2005 as a part of the RAM International acquisition. |

Dave is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania since 2000. He graduated from Drexel University with degrees in Architectural engineering and Civil Engineering. During his years as a Project structural engineer for Klingstubbins in Philadelphia, he worked as project engineer on a variety of projects for the pharmaceutical industry as well as commercial projects. He was previously a consulting engineer for 10 years, designing a wide variety of structures and performing forensic structural investigations. Beth is a registered professional engineer (civil and structural) in California and Michigan, having been licensed since 1998. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s in civil engineering and from Stanford University with a Master’s in structural engineering. Her background includes forensic investigation of timber structures and extensive design experience on building structures of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, post-tensioned concrete, and composite steel and concrete. During her years as a consulting structural engineer for SDSE of San Diego she designed the St. Stanislaus Cathedral in Modesto, CA; and while with FWCSE in Irvine she worked on the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, CA. She has been part of Bentley since 2007. |

Karyn Beebe, RE - North America, West Region
Karyn graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and later earned her California P.E. license and LEED certification. Most recently Karyn worked for APA as a regional representative to promote the use of engineered wood products. With APA she visited and called on hundreds of engineers; gave over 200 seminars; authored several papers; and conducted site visits. Prior to APA, she worked for the City of San Diego and local consulting firms doing structural design work. Outside of the office Karyn has held top positions within Toastmasters, runs marathons, and is currently an executive board member for the ICC San Diego Chapter. |

Geoff Blumber, RE - North America, Gulf Region
Geoff graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Architectural Engineering in 1997. His experience includes reviewing existing steel and concrete structures for additional industrial load capacity, design experience on commercial, industrial, and high-end residential buildings with structural systems consisting of wood, concrete, steel, masonry, and cold-formed metal. During his years as a consultant, he worked as a project engineer on both the USPS Baltimore MD PDC and the new retail development at Mockingbird Station, Dallas. |

Kurt is a certified Engineer-In-Training in the state of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a 5-year ABET accredited Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, Structural Option from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to working for Bentley Systems Inc., Kurt worked for DeSimone Consulting Engineers in Miami, FL. His focus dealt with post-tensioned, concrete high-rise buildings. Kurt has assisted with multiple site inspections and reviewed hundreds of shop drawings for The Mint, The Ivy, and Midtown. Kurt has been employed with Bentley since June of 2008. |
