Bentley’s hydraulics and hydrology software provides engineers with advanced analysis tools to address a wide range of water projects and automated design tools to reduce time spent on detailed design. These accurate calculations and superior model management tools enable engineers to easily compare alternative designs for a variety of system conditions to prioritize site and subdivision improvements. Engineers are then able to recommend the most cost-effective pipe sizes and most performant design solution.

Software tools for accurate analysis and automated design include:

• Scenario management:
  Creating and setting up scenarios in Bentley products is easy to do. Scenarios allow modelers to compare an unlimited number of “what-if” situations such as design approaches with varying restrictions for example.
  
  
• Automated design:
  The design of site and subdivisions for stormwater and sewer networks can be conducted very easily using StormCAD's and SewerCAD’s automated constraint-based design functionality.
  
  PondPack's PondMaker guides users through the pond design process by providing an easy step-by-step interface that gives them constant feedback on how the design is progressing.
  
  Design new culverts with CulvertMaster and solve for culvert size for a given discharge or allowable discharge/headwater elevation for a given culvert size.
  
  
• Automated fire flow:
  Users can quickly and accurately establish the ability of the water distribution network to provide adequate protection against fires. With WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, they can calculate how much flow will be available at any hydrant or group of hydrants in the system, based on pressure and flow constraints dictated by local regulations.
