Arizona American Water Company (AAW) provides water and wastewater services to approximately 350,000 people in Arizona. To ensure a sustainable water supply for its customers, the company built a new 20-million-gallons-per-day (MGD) surface water treatment plant, with possible future expansion to 80 million MGD. The cost of the current phase of the treatment plant is approximately $64 million. |

Westernport Water integrated WaterGEMS using SCADAConnect into an existing SCADA system to realize the full potential of an accurate and calibrated water model and better serve customers. The investment produced markedly better performance knowledge of its assets and reliable decision-support tools. |

CH2M HILL and Derceto provided a detailed design and completed installation of the Derceto Aquadapt energy management and operations optimization system for the drinking water production plants and ancillary distribution system. The capital cost was $900,000. |
