The program provides many great features aimed at increasing your productivity in your projects. Among these are:
- Transferring loads from the gravity members in the model
- Automatic transfer of loads to RAM Foundation for spread or continuous footing design
- Automatically creating sub-elements for physical members and providing analysis results per physical members
- Automatic generation of analysis mesh for walls considering compatibility between walls at other framing members.
The following list includes the major features in the program:
- Static and dynamic analysis of moment frame, braced frame, and shear wall structures
- Gravity loads automatically transferred from RAM Modeler and applied to structural model
- Live load reduction factors automatically calculated and applied to live and roof loads as applicable per specified code
- Analysis of dead, live, roof, wind, seismic and user-defined load cases
- Automatic generation of wind story forces per IBC 2006, IBC 2003, IBC 2000, ASCE 7-98, BOCA 99, SBC 99, UBC 97, BS 6399, NBC of Canada, Eurocode, and others
- Automatic generation of seismic story forces per IBC 2006, IBC 2003, IBC 2000, ASCE 7-95, BOCA 99, SBC 99, UBC 97, NBC of Canada, Eurocode, and others
- Contribution from different structural components for calculation of mass properties of a building such as mass surface\line\point loads, mass from frames and walls and mass from slabs\decks
- Optional inclusion of effects of +/-5% offset of center of mass to account for accidental torsional moments
- Automatic calculation of structural mass properties (story mass, center of mass, and mass moment of inertia) from structural model
- Response spectra analysis per IBC, UBC and user-specified response spectra curves, with option for SRSS or CQC combination of modal results, and eccentricities for story masses considered during analysis as needed
- P-delta analysis option
- Automated mesh generation for walls considering openings while providing compatibility with neighboring walls and framing members
