ProjectWise Navigator is a visual collaboration tool used for immersive project review and analysis to support design and construction management processes and to manage assets in real time.

ProjectWise Navigator is the first visual collaboration client to support iterative workflows for the reuse of all content throughout the process.

The new software will complement the existing ProjectWise collaboration system which is already used by nine of the top ten ENR 500 design firms to connect people and information across their distributed enterprises.

Supporting Five Key Project Requirements

ProjectWise Navigator delivers visual technologies to support design and construction management processes and to manage assets in real time. These technologies can be used to satisfy five key business and project requirements. Highlights include the ability to:

1. Assemble 2D/3D content from hundreds of applications and file stores
2. Review designs and models in an immersive and homogenous environment
3. Enrich content, add comments, link documents and data sets, add materials for visualization
4. Analyze and simulate construction schedules, clashes/interferences, and lighting options
5. Produce portable and intelligent work packages for downstream activities

ProjectWise Navigator includes many innovations by MicroStation V8 XM to provide support for a broad range of applications, industry standards, and file formats.

ProjectWise Navigator can assemble 2D/3D project content from hundreds of AEC and infrastructure design applications.

Serving the needs of a Mobile Workforce

To best serve the demands of today’s mobile workforce, ProjectWise Navigator is designed to work on any Windows laptop or PC as a stand-alone application. It does not require ProjectWise collaboration servers to assemble 2D and 3D content from a variety of locations.

Visual Managed Environment Client

ProjectWise Navigator's functionality is greatly enhanced when it is used as a visual client to directly access 2D drawings and 3D models that are distributed across the enterprise and managed by the ProjectWise Integration Server.

Additional capabilities this provides include:

2. Audit trail creation for insight into who did what and when
3. Full text and component indexing for cross-enterprise searching
4. Local Caching Servers for rapid LAN-like content access

ProjectWise Licensing

ProjectWise Navigator is licensed with a ProjectWise Passport.

The same ProjectWise Passport will grant the same user access to the ProjectWise Integration Server, ProjectWise StartPoint, ProjectWise Plot Server and now also to ProjectWise Navigator.
