Bentley Announces Hevacomp EP Cert Products for United Kingdom and Irish Buildings

Bentley is pleased to announce U.K. government accreditation for its Hevacomp Quick EP Cert and Pro EP Cert products. Designed to be used by certified energy assessors to provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to landlords and property owners, Bentley’s tools help quantitatively rate the energy performance of buildings in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Energy performance certificates are used to tell an owner or tenant how energy efficient a building is, rated on a scale of A-G with A being the best. Most buildings in the United Kingdom are either D or E currently. EPCs are also an indication of the impact the building has on the environment, via emissions of CO2 gas. A better EPC rating means the building costs less to operate (heat, cool and illuminate).

Hevacomp brings its 30 year track record and about 70 percent market penetration of U.K. building services software to the EPC market. Using familiar Hevacomp user interfaces, a certified energy assessor can rapidly produce EPCs or smaller (via Quick EP Cert) or larger (via Pro EP Cert) buildings.

Bentley provides fully accredited training and support for the line of Hevacomp EP Cert products. An energy Assessor trained on Hevacomp EP Cert products will be an accredited U.K. energy assessor.
