Design in 2D, Visualize in 3D

Using the Bentley Hevacomp Electrical CAD package, systems can be set up as icons for switches, sockets, luminaires and other components. If required, cable routes can optionally be drawn, connecting icons. Conduit and trunking runs can be drawn and cables can be associated with these. A full 3D model of electrical systems is automatically maintained.

Support for 17th Edition Calculations and Reports

17th Edition calculations can be carried out using data from the CAD systems defined, using circuit reference icons and cables. A complete 17th Edition cable sizing is carried out, together with earth and short circuit fault analysis and discrimination checking. Full calculation reports and schedules can be produced to the screen and printer and scheme DXF files can be exported.

Full Lighting Design and Analysis

Full lighting design and analysis can also be carried out with Bentley Hevacomp Electrical CAD. Design criteria are defined and luminaire type selected from Bentley Hevacomp's industry standard database of over 18,000 luminaires. Grid layouts can be set up using a lumen calculation. Individual luminaires can be positioned, aimed and rotated as required. A full point to point calculation can be carried out for each room, generating contour diagrams or 3D graphics ready for plotting. Luminaires are automatically referenced and full luminaire schedules can be drawn or printed.

Lift design and Analysis

A passenger lift design package is provided for multi-storey buildings, based on probability equations and using a database of standard lift configurations.
