Bentley Vision provides the document management tools required to address the unique needs of process plants. With Vision, a document can be electronically linked to any component record. Selecting the component in the graphical user interface automatically displays the list of associated documents. Select the document from the list and it is automatically displayed for viewing. It is easy to locate all documents associated with a particular tag number with the Vision tool.
All plant documentation is maintained under revision control within Vision. The archive function ensures that only the most current issued document is available for viewing. Only plant personnel with the appropriate permissions may checkout, update and archive an original document. Built-in audit tracking functionality maintains a permanent history of all document changes and the personnel making the changes.
