Bentley PowerMap Field supports disconnected use when access to the attribute database is simply not an option. Database attributes are extracted from the database and maintained as XML within the DGN file. By storing the attributes in XML, you can take Bentley PowerMap Field to the field for data collection and reliably synchronize upon reconnecting to the database. In addition to its rich XML capabilities, Bentley PowerMap Field provides read/write access to ODBC-connected databases.
