Translation of Plant Data Into ISO 15926 Format

Overview

Live Connection to PDS Project

Bentley OpenPlant PDx Manager can connect to a PDS project and access all design information within the project without requiring PDS software or licenses. Unlike the traditional DGN/DRV file route, OpenPlant PDx Manager opens up the entire PDS project database and provides read access to anyone using MicroStation or ProjectWise Navigator.

Within MicroStation or ProjectWise Navigator, you can see the breakdown structure of the PDS model in a hierarchy browser, select and zoom to individual objects, display all PDS property information for any object in a property dialog using the same display order as used in PDS, and see all possible valid-values .

Translation of PDS Data Into ISO 15926 Format

Bentley OpenPlant PDx Manager can save PDS data into the ISO 15926 format, thus allowing a PDS project to be accessed and re-used in an open format with ISO 15926 compliant applications such as OpenPlant PowerPID. Once in this open format, you can truly collaborate on a heterogeneous project.

Bentley OpenPlant PDx Manager also enables legacy PDS data to be saved into the ISO 15926 format, thus extending the life of the data beyond the life of the PDS application. The information can be accessed and managed across the life of the asset using tools such as ProjectWise Lifecycle Server and provides a deliverable of all PDS data from the project to operations in a format that can be taken into operations and maintenance systems.

Integrating OpenPlant PDx Manager with ProjectWise

Integrating OpenPlant PDx Manager with ProjectWise, enables PDS users to truly add value to the PDS workflow by automating review process and distributing and tracking valuable PDS content to all team members that need it outside the PDS administration environment. This functionality is provided by ProjectWise PDx Dynamic Review Service and significantly reduces the administrative burden of PDS.

ProjectWise PDx Dynamic Review Service (which includes OpenPlant PDx Manager), requires ProjectWise Integration Server.
